Engen teams with Clever Girl for 2011 event

Engen authors Matthew LeDrew (Black Womb, Infinity) and Ellen Curtis (Compendium, Infinity) are set to return to Hal Con this year, but that's not all Halifax natives can hope to expect from the duo.

Engen Books has teamed with Clever Girl! Event Consulting and Management to bring even more to the event leading up to and following the three day extravaganza at Hal Con.

"We're going to try and schedule a variety of book-related events." said LeDrew. "We're trying to get the most out of this trip as we can. last year we learned that a lot of people from Halifax really dig what we do, so this year we want to reach as many people as possible."

Clever Girls! is run by friends and business partners Jennifer Lambe and Amanda Schreiber, both of Hal Con fame. Established recently in 2011, it has been built off of the over twenty years of collective experience that the two share in event planning and management.

"Jen and Amanda (and all the others) were incredible at orcastrating Hal Con." said Curtis, when asked about the deal. "They took it and poured their heart into it and made it something special. That's what they do with everything they do. They do amazing work, and I can't wait to see what they make of Hal Con 2011 and our side-events."

Hal Con 2011 will also see the worldwide release of Inner Child, the eighth novel in the Black Womb series by Matthew LeDrew.
