NewFoundSpecFic launch dealyed

Living in Newfoundland, most people get used to having their plans changed by adverse weather conditions. Be it avoiding a movie because of a snow storm on the highway or cancelling trip because of fog, islanders know what it's like to have Mother Nature rain on your parade... literally.

With that in mind, the young minds behind NewFoundSpecFic have taken the weather into account in regard to the launch of the title.

"Due to imprending weather, the launch is being postponed two weeks." Jennifer Graham posted on the NewFoundSpecFic Facebook group today. "The new date will be April 4th, 2009 from 4:30pm-7:00pm at the Third Floor University Center of MUN."

"A lot of people are looking forward to the launch of this series." said Matthew LeDrew, founder and chairman of Engen Books. "We don't want anyone to have to miss out of the fun of the launch because of weather or transportation restrictions. We want people to be safe in coming here and to facilitate that, we've moved the date of the launch."
