The Bestselling Superhero series takes a dark turn when Xander Drew’s small Maine hometown is besieged by a powerful monster that preys on some of the town’s most vulnerable: children. The unspeakable horror of this beast brings the entire fractured town together in an attempt to find Kerri Walker, a missing six-year-old girl suspected to be in the creature’s clutches. During all this, Mike and Cathy choose to take their budding romantic relationship to the next level and face the consequences of that decision.

Can Xander and his community find and defeat a monster genetically engineered specifically to kill him in time to save the missing girl?

  • “Ghosts of the Past is the darkest entry in Ledrew’s Coral Beach series yet. Events of the past will change everything you thought about Xanders journey so far and the fast paced storytelling will leave you wanting more.”
Paul Carberry, bestselling author of: Zombies on the Rock

“We are treated to a few different [writing] styles, deviating from what we’ve seen in the Black Womb series to date. At times, things tie together very well.”
Jay Paulin, Ink’d Well Comics, October 2011

“Black Womb has vanquished some nasties – both human and not – in the previous books, but faces the worst yet in Ghosts of the Past. There is even more blood and vicious death in this book than the previous four in the series.”
Jean Graham, The Northeast Avalon Times
    October 2010

“LeDrew’s work is horror that emerges from the urban fantasy tradition — the introduction of a fantastical element into a true-to-life, modern setting.”
    The Telegram, Aug 13, 2010
