There is a man living in Atlanta Georgia that people don’t talk about, but everyone knows he’s there. He arrived a year ago and turned a gaggle of uneducated and uninterested youth into a force to be reckoned with; something to fear more than any demon or violent act: something new. The man’s name is Gavin. And he’s been dead.

Now he’s set his claws into a young girl named Kelly Saunders, and nobody around her seems to understand just how much trouble she’s in — nobody except a young man from Coral Beach named Nick Carry.

Luckily, Nick Carry isn’t like other people his age. He grew up in Coral Beach Maine, one of the worse places in the whole of the United States. And he has people on his side: the enigmatic Victor and Jaycee are present to uncover the mystery of Gavin’s sudden resurrection… and it may link closer to their pasts then they’d have dared imagine.

The Tourniquet Revival

SKU: EC002
  • “The Tourniquet Reprisal — V2 in the Infinity series — has intriguing characters, strong pacing, and an excellent mix of drama and action. Of all the Engen Books’ releases, this may be my favourite.” — Jay Paulin, Ink’d Well Comics

“I love the powers Curtis and LeDrew have created for these characters, not your common comic book powers for sure. It’s refreshing!” –– S.S. Yasumi, author of Game. Set. Match!

  • Ellen Curtis was born and raised in St. John’s, Newfoundland. Her aptitude for the written word began at a young age, when she began filling paper with stories and other scribbles. Those scribbles eventually began to make more sense, and in 2008 she published her first collection of short stories. Since then, she has gone on to co-author the Infinity series with Matthew LeDrew, among her other literary endeavors.

Ellen earned her Bachelor of Arts from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2015, and was under the illusion that completing her studies would mean she would have more free time. In reality, it simply means she does more reading, albeit for work. When she actually does find a spare moment, she enjoys spending time near the ocean nursing an espresso and daydreaming about the day she can fill her home with the happy bleating of Pygmy goats.

Matthew LeDrew holds an Honours Degree in English from the Memorial University of Newfoundland with a minor in Anthropology, and studied Journalism at College of the North Atlantic in Stephenville, Newfoundland. He was honoured to be a jury member of the 2018 NLBA awards.

He has written twenty novels for Engen Books: the ten book Coral Beach Casefiles series, The Long Road, Cinders, Sinister Intent, Faith, Family Values, Jacobi Street, Touch Your Nose, Infinity, The Tourniquet Reprisal, and Exodus of Angels the latter three of which with co-author Ellen Curtis.

He lives in St. Johns, Newfoundland.

Since 2007 he has traveled all over Canada promoting his work as well as teaching seminars on writing and publishing. He also helps young Newfoundland authors become published through Engen Books.
