Mike Hickey

A bestselling author & award-winning filmmaker with a love for all things spooky, Mike created FRIGHT HYPE for Crypt TV in 2015 and has hosted the popular web series since along with press and event coverage for major films like HALLOWEEN (2018) and IT (2017).

Recently, he wrote and directed the short film THAT HALLOWEEN (2021) which premiered Halloween night 2021 on SuperChannel through the Blood In The Snow Film Festival and is currently collecting laurels and awards on the festival circuit. He’s also produced several shorts including the Telefilm Picture Start films MATCHSTICK (2017), FISHBOWL (2022), and FALSE LIGHT (2018) which was selected for Not Short on Talent at Cannes. He is currently in development on a number of feature projects.

Mike currently lives in St John’s, Newfoundland with his wife, Maria, and their dog, Samhain (who responds to “Sam” and doesn’t respond to requests to stop pooping in the kitchen.)
