Engen Books is proud to announce that indie novelist Stacey Oakley has been named the twenty-third author to be featured in the epic Mythology from the Rock collection, spanning stories of myth and legend from all over the world.
With this title, Oakley has earned the title of 'Rocker' (or alternatively, Rock Star), a title reserved for From the Rock authors who have proven themselves proficient at each of the three main categories of genre fiction: science-fiction, fantasy, and horror.
Oakley's previous contributions to the series include The Sorrows of War published in Sci-Fi from The Rock and Stolen Wings published in Flights From The Rock. She is also the winner of the 2018 48-Hour Novel Writing Marathon.
Oakley joins a list of only 14 authors to have accomplished the task of becoming Rockers, including Ali House, Chantal Boudreau, Jeff Slade, Jon Dobbin, Matthew Daniels, Nicole Little, Paul Carberry, Corinne Lewandowski, Peter J Foote, Bronwynn Erskine, Sam Bauer, Lisa M. Daly, and, Shannon K Green.
Stacey Oakley is an author originally from Moncton, New Brunswick who became a vibrant part of the local Newfoundland writing scene after the publication of ‘The Sorrows of War’ in the 2016 edition of Sci-Fi from the Rock.
She has since gone on to independently publish her own novel, Hunter’s Soul, it’s follow-up The Necromancer, and in 2018 was crowned the winner of the 48 Hour Novel-Writing Marathon.
She brings with her story, ‘Tangled Web.’
