Engen Books is proud to announce that the extraordinary talent of Andrew Hawthorn will be the twentieth announced as being a part of 2021's Mythology from the Rock.
From St. John's, Newfoundland & Labrador, Hawthorn is an accomplished author best known recently for his amazing reporting with CBC, the author has previously worked in fiction, writing comic books. His work includes 'The Man Who Knew Everything' for Benday Comics, and 'Mere Appendix,' which appeared as the feature story in issue #54 of Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Wait... do we have an author who wrote for the original, Mirage run of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in this collection? Yeah, we do!
"I remember going through the bios of the authors that were selected, and being shocked and excited when I saw his name," said Engen founder Matthew LeDrew. "I've known Andrew from his amazing journalism and activism... but then I scrolled down to this 'Previous Publications' and saw 'Mere Appendix,' a book that sits not ten feet from my office chair. I honestly thought he was trolling me, that he'd research my love of TMNT and was playing a prank. But no, it's him."

Hawthorn joins other great comic book authors who have contributed to the From the Rock series, including Jed MacKay (Black Cat: Grand Theft Marvel and Dystopia from the Rock) and Jay Paulin (Super Galactic Space Explorers and Sci-Fi from the Rock).
He brings with him his story, ‘Silvern Voices.’
